Are online classes making students addicted to mobile phones during covid-19?

Many students were already addicted to mobile phones before online classes started. So no one can blame online education for mobile addiction. Infact, I feel, that if it continues this way, students may start hating their mobile phones and laptops. After all, have you seen students addicted to notebooks, textbooks and other study material? 🙂

But on a more serious note, online education will have to change its format – eye ailments will become common. So all material must be in bigger and more legible font. A mobile screen is too small, especially for technical subjects like physics, chemistry, math, engineering. It will cause severe eye strain. So if you have to use a device, use a laptop or at the very least a 10″ tablet. Most tablets cost less than a mobile. Also follow the 20–20–20 rule that all eye specialists recommend: after 20 minutes of looking into the screen, look at a object 20 feet away, for 20 seconds.

What do you feel about this? How has been the online education experience for you?
