
Satyendranath Bose, whose name is permanently linked with Einstein’s as the formulator of the Bose-Einstein statistics, was known for his extraordinary genius, even as a school boy. His mathematics school teacher at Hindu School, Calcutta, once gave him 110 marks out of 100 for his maths paper because he had worked out some sums in more than one way!
